Pay Rate: $25.00 / hour

Employment Type: 6-Month Contract (Full-Time, 37.5 hours/week; extension and potential conversion opportunities available)

Location: Remote (Must reside within commuting distance of Scottsdale, AZ; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; or Malvern, PA)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Financial Operations Associate to join our collaborative operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing client requests, resolving cost basis discrepancies, and researching account histories to ensure absolute data accuracy.

This position is an excellent entry-to-junior level opportunity for a motivated professional or recent graduate looking to build a career in financial services and banking operations.

• Work Model: Fully remote day-to-day. Candidates must be local to one of the listed hub cities for initial Day 1 laptop pickup, equipment setup, and occasional IT support.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Request Resolution: Review, analyze, and resolve incoming client inquiries and cost basis discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Account Research & Maintenance: Conduct thorough account history research and update system records with high accuracy.

• Corporate Action Calculations: Analyze stock events—including splits, mergers, and spinoffs—and verify underlying cost basis calculations.

• System & Tool Utilization: Leverage Microsoft Excel, Office 365, and proprietary internal platforms to maintain records and complete daily tasks.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and managers in a hands-on, supportive team environment.

What We Are Looking For

• Financial Background or Interest: 0–3 years of experience. Demonstrated interest in financial services or banking operations (e.g., recent Finance/Business graduate, previous experience at a retail bank or financial firm). Direct cost basis experience is not required.

• Technical Savviness: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office 365 suite, with an aptitude for learning new technology systems quickly.

• Attention to Detail: Excellent analytical capabilities with a high degree of precision in numerical and historical data entry.

• Communication Skills: Ability to articulate thought processes clearly and logically (STAR method approach to problem-solving).

• Adaptability: Comfortable shifting priorities in a dynamic, quality-driven operational environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
