Senior Project / Program Manager – Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Transformation
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Project / Program Manager to lead a targeted, high-impact initiative aimed at optimizing enterprise hiring and employee onboarding workflows.
Reporting directly to Talent Acquisition leadership, this role focuses on diagnosing operational bottlenecks, accelerating timeline efficiency, and standardizing cross-functional processes across Talent Acquisition, Information Technology, Information Security, and Corporate Onboarding. The ideal candidate blends strategic program governance with the tactical ability to roll up their sleeves, map processes end-to-end, and align multi-disciplinary workstreams against tight milestones.
Key Responsibilities
Cross-Functional Workstream Leadership: Drive collaboration, accountability, and sequencing across primary stakeholder teams, including Talent Acquisition, IT Provisioning, InfoSec Access Management, HR Operations, and Hiring Managers.
Process Improvement & Root-Cause Remediation: Conduct current-state workflow analyses to identify operational delays, system friction points, and handoff inefficiencies within the new-hire journey; design and deploy streamlined, manager-friendly onboarding frameworks.
Milestone & Schedule Management: Establish clear delivery milestones, track progress against tight deliverables, and drive execution to ensure rapid process turnaround within an accelerated ~90-day project scope.
Governance, Risk & Issue Escalation: Set up standard communication cadences, maintain executive-level status reporting/dashboards, and proactively identify risks with concrete mitigation and escalation paths.
Operational Readiness & Change Enablement: Partner with cross-functional team leads to draft standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and operational transition plans to ensure sustained adoption post-implementation.
Required Qualifications & Core Skills
Experience: 5–8+ years of dedicated project/program management experience, with a track record of driving complex, cross-functional business initiatives.
Process Improvement Expertise: Demonstrated success analyzing, streamlining, and documenting operational workflows (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, flowcharting, root-cause analysis).
Cross-Functional Orchestration: Proven ability to navigate matrixed corporate environments and lead disparate teams toward a unified goal on compressed timelines.
Operational Agility: Strong willingness to operate at both levels—building high-level status dashboards for leadership while diving into the technical and operational weeds with working teams.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent combination of relevant professional experience).
Preferred Qualifications
Prior project/program experience within Human Resources / Talent Management, HR tech/IT provisioning, or workforce operations in a mid-to-large enterprise.
Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies in cross-departmental implementations.
Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, Lean/Six Sigma) are a plus.
